Alen Simonyan Claims Armenian Forces Have Not Retreated, but Have Withdrawn from 4 Positions
The four combat positions of the Armenian Armed Forces are not controlled by anyone, claimed the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during a conversation with journalists.
“The Azerbaijani troops that advanced have already withdrawn. There are 4 strongholds that are not controlled by anyone. These positions are simply vacant due to the changes in the deployments. The Armenian army has not retreated. There were a few strongholds in that area, which, at this moment, are not controlled by either the Armenian or Azerbaijani forces,” said Simonyan.
In response to a direct question from a journalist about whether our soldiers have effectively left those positions, Simonyan replied, “Yes, our soldiers have left those 4 positions.” He added that the use of that terrain is not advantageous for Azerbaijan.
