We Know Very Well Who is Spreading Those Rumors: Arman Abovyan
As the local elections approach, various candidates from different parties have been rumored to be negotiating with other political forces to participate in the elections. A significant outflow of defectors has been recorded, especially from the ranks of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
The Civil Contract Party has today published the names of those heading the proportional lists in the communities of Shirak, Armavir, Ararat, Tavush, Lori, Vayots Dzor, and Aragatsotn for the upcoming local elections on December 5, among which are prominent former figures from the RPA.
ArmDaily.am is informed that the atmosphere is also tense in the Gagik Tsarukyan Bloc (GTB). There are mayoral candidates from the party who do not wish to run on the Prosperous Armenia list; instead, they want to create alliances with other forces, but the party is not allowing this. Thus, there are disagreements and a tense atmosphere within the GTB.
In an interview with the media, GTB member Arman Abovyan denied these rumors, labeling them as baseless and fabricated. “We know very well who is spreading those rumors. I advise them to drink some cold water,” said Abovyan.
Regarding preparations for the elections, the GTB member noted that everything is proceeding normally and that there are no problems.
