Rumors of a Brawl in the CP Headquarters: Did Armen Khachatryan Get Slapped?
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that there has been a brawl in the CP headquarters in Goris. The factions of the party led by the regional governor and MP Armen Khachatryan clashed. There are even claims that Khachatryan was slapped. A rift has emerged between them as the locals, led by the regional governor, sought to propose Deputy Governor Karo Avanesyan, but Khachatryan prevailed and nominated his close associate, former Republican Party member Vladimir Abuntsi.
We previously reported that the Deputy Governor's wife, Armine Simonian, went so far as to post a status against Khachatryan: "Is this the Vladimir accepted by the public? A person who robbed the customs, whose father is a representative of the Karabakh clan, who is a thief… a man whose wife blocked the road for Nikol, now coming to plunder Goris?" However, the post was deleted hours later, and the conflict has not diminished to this day. Armen Khachatryan did not respond to our calls, nor did the Deputy Governor's wife respond to our inquiries.
