Saakashvili Arrested in Georgia
Mikheil Saakashvili has been arrested in Georgia. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced this during a press briefing. He has been transferred to a penitentiary facility.
It was previously reported by the 'United National Movement' opposition party that Saakashvili is in Georgia and will officially present himself to the public on October 2, after the completion of voting in the local self-government elections, as the polling stations close.
