The Path to Armenia’s Independence Was Not Easy, but Armenians Proved They Are Survivors: Adam Schiff
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence, U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff sent a congratulatory message.
“The path to Armenia's independence was not easy, but Armenians have proven that they are survivors. The Armenian people have endured war and genocide, overcoming these calamities and uniting for a better future for their families and their nation. Armenian Americans continue to play a vital role in the entire framework of the United States, contributing across all sectors—from government, law, and the arts to education, science, medicine, and engineering.
As we mark this anniversary, we must recommit ourselves to standing against the threats facing Armenia and Artsakh, particularly with the anniversary of the six-week war in Nagorno-Karabakh approaching,” Schiff wrote.
