10-Year Sentence for Mother Who Killed Her One-Year-Old Daughter in Gyumri

Today, Judge John Hayrapetyan of the Shirak regional court sentenced 22-year-old Ani Minasyan to 10 years in prison for the murder of her one-year-old daughter.

It is recalled that two years ago, on August 30, 2019, she bound her child’s hands and feet with adhesive tape, wrapped a half-skirt around the child's mouth, and between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM, threw her near the trash can located on Shirakatsi Street, close to her rented apartment.

According to forensic examinations, the child had suffocated.
