Samvel Balasanyan Appointed as Shirak Governor
According to ArmLur.am, changes are expected in the Shirak region soon. Specifically, our sources indicate that the Mayor of Gyumri, Samvel Balasanyan, will receive a new position and will not run as a candidate in the upcoming mayoral elections scheduled for October.
During the mayoral elections, the current governor of Shirak, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, will be proposed as the candidate from the ruling Republican Party. This means that there will be transfers in Shirak region, with the mayor becoming the governor and the governor becoming the mayor.
