Russian Patrols in the Vardenis Area: Observation Posts to be Established in the Region
According to sources from the Wargonzo project within the Russian Federation’s law enforcement agencies, Russian border guards have begun patrolling along the border between Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh regions, specifically in areas that came under Azerbaijani control following last autumn’s events.
The photograph was taken by one of the subscribers of a news outlet in the Vardenis area.
Previously, several Armenian officials had released statements indicating that Russian border guards would ensure security in the areas where tensions escalated due to the Azerbaijani military's deep advancement into Armenian territory in May of this year.
Additionally, according to the Wargonzo project, aside from regular patrols, Russian border guards will be establishing a network of observation posts in the region.
