Stanislav Zas Visits Combat Outpost in the Yeraskh Area
On August 10, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, accompanied by the Chief of the RA Armed Forces Main Staff, Lieutenant General Andranik Makaryan, and several officers, visited the southwestern border area of the Republic. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
During the visit, the CSTO Secretary General inspected a combat outpost located in the Yeraskh area and was briefed on the border situation. He was informed about the incidents of ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces that occurred over the previous weeks.
Stanislav Zas observed the ongoing combat duty at the outpost and engaged in discussions with the servicemen. During his visit, Zas also answered questions from journalists, presenting the CSTO's position regarding the current situation and measures aimed at de-escalating tensions.
The CSTO Secretary General noted that the possibilities for a peaceful and political resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation have not been exhausted, and it is necessary to continue efforts consistently in that direction.
Following this, the CSTO Secretary General also visited the “Yerablur” military pantheon, laying flowers at the graves of servicemen who fell in defense of the homeland.
