Tense Situation in Zolakar Community: Police Detain Local Administration Employees

A tense situation continues to unfold in the Zolakar community of Gegharkunik Province. Police have been detaining employees of the local administration, reports "Erkir Media," which has also released video footage of the events.

During one of the detentions, the health condition of one employee worsened, prompting the need for an ambulance to be called. Residents of Zolakar are opposing the appointment of a provisional community head designated by the regional governor.

According to the locals, the former head, Arman Ghazaryan, who is also a member of the "Armenia" alliance, accomplished significant work for the village, and they refuse to accept the interim head replacing him.

It is worth noting that on the early morning of July 27 and 28, the police detained several local administration employees who expressed their opposition to the new leader's appointment.
