VIDEO: Turks Will Come to Buy Real Estate If Blockage is Lifted – Seyran Ohanyan
After the 44-day war, the authorities of Armenia are acting under the pressure and coercion of Azerbaijan and Turkey, stated Seyran Ohanyan, the former Minister of Defense of Armenia and the head of the parliamentary faction "Hayastan" during a conversation with journalists.
He noted that, unlike the current authorities, they do not believe that demarcation and delimitation or the unblocking of infrastructure in the region will benefit Armenia.
“We must understand that under the pretext of peace, our opponents have always had other goals and have prepared for future provocations. Even if there is real delimitation, it does not mean that the likelihood of large-scale provocations with Azerbaijan, and perhaps even extensive military operations, will decrease,” Ohanyan said.
According to Seyran Ohanyan, Armenia does not have sufficient and necessary conditions for carrying out delimitation and demarcation, such as legal grounds and maps, and therefore should not hastily engage in this process; instead, the primary concern should be the strengthening of borders in the current situation.
