The Speaker of the National Assembly Lacks Authority to Impose Disciplinary Actions for Addressing Anyone by Name, Says Babayan to Alen Simonian
Arsen Babayan, a member of the "I Have Honor" alliance, commented on Facebook:
"Alen Simonian has declared that 'If you address the Prime Minister by name, I will impose disciplinary penalties.' However, the Speaker of the National Assembly does not have the authority to impose disciplinary measures on any deputy for addressing someone by name."
It is important to remind that today, Speaker Alen Simonian urged an opposition deputy to remain correct, stating: "In the case of addressing the Prime Minister by name, altering the name, or in any other way, I will impose disciplinary penalties. Everyone in this hall must be correct."
