Gnel Sanosyan Set to Receive New and Higher Position
According to our sources, Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan is soon expected to be promoted. Our sources in the ruling Civil Contract party reported that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is preparing to appoint Sanosyan as the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, replacing Suren Papikyan, as reported by Hraparak.am.
We attempted to confirm this information with Gnel Sanosyan, but he did not respond to our phone calls or messages. The Gegharkunik regional administration also did not respond to calls, nor did Prime Minister’s spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan or the press secretary of the Civil Contract party, Vahe Aleksanyan.
Sanosyan has previously worked as a geography teacher at the “Maksedan” foreign language school from 2004 to 2010, as a lecturer at Northern University of Yerevan from 2007 to 2010, as a sales manager at “Cardinal International” LLC from 2014 to 2015, and as a lecturer at the University of External Economic Relations from 2006 to 2018. He served as the Deputy Minister of Environment from May to October 2018 and was appointed as the Governor of Gegharkunik region on October 10, 2018. He is a founding member of the Civil Contract party.
