Artashes Petrosyan Will Not Be Left Without a Position
My Step faction member Artashes Petrosyan, who was not included in the ruling party's list for the upcoming snap parliamentary elections, is expected to receive a new position within a week after August 2. This information was confirmed to Haykakan Jirair by sources close to the government.
The media outlet notes that Petrosyan is set to be appointed as Armenia's trade representative in China, essentially as a trade attaché. It is worth mentioning that the position was previously held by My Step member Varazdat Karapetyan, who resigned from the post on February 16, 2021.
Artashes Petrosyan is from the 'Mission' party, and sources indicate that he has long been promised this position, which is the reason he was not included in the ruling party list. This new position aligns well with Petrosyan's interests.
To verify this information, the news outlet reached out to Petrosyan's assistant Aris Dadyan, who did not deny the information, stating that Petrosyan remains a parliament member and that he would announce any changes regarding his new role if confirmed.
Artashes Petrosyan previously worked as an engineer at 'ELLIPS GIA' LLC from 2008 to 2009, as an accountant at 'SONAGRO' LLC from 2009 to 2011, and as deputy director at 'Art Global' LLC from 2016 to 2019. Since 2011, he has been involved in entrepreneurship and owns 'Eco Paper', a company that manufactures disposable cups.
