Military Expert Karen Hovhannisyan: "Dear Authorities, Reconsider Your Behavior"
Military expert Karen Hovhannisyan has expressed his concerns on his Facebook page regarding the recent incident involving a contract soldier, Samvel Alaverdyan, who lost his life in Yeraskh. He wrote: "I am reading an article about Samvel Alaverdyan, where it states that his teenage son refuses to accept his father’s death. Subsequently, I read that the son was the first to find out about the official statement from the Ministry of Defense regarding his father's death and condolences online."
"Honestly, I was under the impression that in such cases, before any official announcement is made, the relevant authorities would visit the family’s home and personally inform them of the news. Apparently, this method has been discarded, and there is a blatant disregard for human sensitivity and the appropriate manner of informing relatives of the bereavement. Dear authorities, please reconsider your behavior. If there had been active military operations, or, as it is commonly said, a war, it would have been understandable and acceptable to disseminate information through official statements, considering the scale of the situation."
