Ministry of Defense Confirms Soldier and Driver Missing, Names Released
On July 14, at dawn, during foggy conditions, communication was lost with serviceman Artur Nalbandyan and driver Aramayis Torozyan while they were performing their official duties in a military vehicle attached to the N military unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, located in the southeastern direction of the Republic.
Search and rescue operations have commenced immediately but have so far yielded no results.
With the mediation of the Russian side, discussions are underway with representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces regarding the possibility of A. Nalbandyan and A. Torozyan being in Azerbaijani territory.
It should be noted that both Artur Nalbandyan and Aramayis Torozyan were unarmed.
