Approximately 100 Vehicles Pass Through Berdzor Corridor Daily: Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian peacekeeping forces continue to monitor the ceasefire regime along the line of demarcation and ensure the security of traffic, food, and various goods transportation along the Berdzor corridor. Over the past week, there have been no recorded violations of the ceasefire regime in the area of responsibility of the peacekeeping contingent, nor have there been any provocative actions against Russian servicemen. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
“We are monitoring the movement of vehicles through the Berdzor corridor. On average, about 100 vehicles pass daily. If a vehicle raises suspicion, the duty officer inspects it for weapons and explosives,” said the commander of the post, Vasily Dovidov.
According to the report, the personnel of the observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping forces regularly conduct combat readiness operations and drills to prevent violations and repel potential attacks on the observation posts.
“All observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are equipped with 'Checkpoint' fortifications designed to protect servicemen from small-caliber weapons and shrapnel, as well as to carry out comprehensive monitoring of the surrounding area,” the Russian Defense Ministry stated.
