Society is Polarized Around Two Forces: Nikol Pashinyan and Robert Kocharyan, Says Samvel Babayan

The leader of the 'Liberal' party, Samvel Babayan, stated during a press conference today that the current election campaign has succeeded in polarizing society around two forces: Nikol Pashinyan and Robert Kocharyan.

"For 20 years, the government has waged an anti-campaign against me, creating an atmosphere that presents Babayan as a monster who eats people. Breaking this perception is not easy," Babayan said, adding that he currently does not see any political force as a favorite.

He also addressed the war and the defeat, noting that the entire leadership of the military department was to blame. According to Babayan, if anyone finds it convenient for him to say that the government was at fault and label him as a 'traitor,' they will be disappointed, as he will not make such a statement. He believes the leadership is responsible for appointing such individuals as military officials.

He mentioned that an investigation is underway, and he has been interrogated three to four times in this regard. Babayan expressed hope that at the end of the investigation, there will be answers to certain questions.
