Armenia Elected as Member of UNWTO Executive Council
On June 3, during the 66th session of the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization) for the European region held in Athens, Armenia was elected as a member of the UNWTO Executive Council for the period of 2021-2025. This election will enhance Armenia's position and visibility within the European region.
This also provides an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with other member states of the council. It was decided to hold the 67th session of the UNWTO European regional commission in Armenia in 2022.
The meeting was attended by Alfred Kocharyan, the acting chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
