Police Surround Stage Installed in Republic Square

The police have deployed a significant number of forces in Republic Square an hour before the June First concert. A correspondent from News.am reports that the police have surrounded the large stage set up in Republic Square. Police forces are also concentrated in the streets adjacent to the Government building.

The streets leading into the square are closed to traffic. It is noteworthy that today, in celebration of Children’s Day, a concert is scheduled to take place in Republic Square at 21:00, although at present, the area is sparsely populated.
