How Many Bodies of Fallen Soldiers Have Been Subjected to Forensic Examination? New Data
From September 27, 2020, to May 25, 2021, a forensic examination has been conducted on the bodies and remains of 3,753 fallen soldiers and civilians, according to a response from the Armenian Ministry of Health to Aysor.am’s inquiry.
As of May 25, 48 samples taken from the bodies and remains of fallen soldiers and civilians have not been examined, which is included in the aforementioned number of 3,753.
It should be noted that as of May 24, the total number of bodies discovered through the search operations conducted by the urgent situations state service of Artsakh, or transferred to the Armenian side by Azerbaijan, is 1,557.
Recall that Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan stated in the National Assembly that the number of victims would not exceed 4,000.
