The deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction, Naira Zohrabyan, during a session of the National Assembly, addressed the fact that six servicemen of the Armenian Ministry of Defense were captured by Azerbaijan, stating that what happened is a disaster.

“This disaster must be stopped. This government came with coffins, they surrendered Artsakh. Now they are capturing soldiers in our territory, and then you say there is a future. I am terrified— what kind of future is there with you?” she noted.

She was responded to by Lilit Makunts, the head of the My Step faction, urging Naira Zohrabyan not to spread hate speech from the National Assembly podium. “This is inappropriate for both the National Assembly and the permanent commission on Human Rights, of which you were the president and are still a member,” said Makunts. Lilit Makunts requested a 20-minute break.
