Azerbaijan is Quite Surprised at How Armenia Isn't Surrendering as a Nation, Says Iranologist
The Iranologist Vardan Hoskanyan wrote on his Facebook page: “There is an important difference between the worldviews of our Armenians and Azerbaijanis, stemming from the loss of the institution of tribal chieftaincy since time immemorial among us, while they have a modern transformation of it aligned with the contemporary world.
According to them, if the leader, who is essentially the tribal chief, surrenders, then the nation, that is, the tribe, must also surrender. Now, Azerbaijan is, to put it mildly, quite surprised at how Armenia, having allegedly a capitulating leader, is not going into capitulation and is not surrendering as a nation.”
Accordingly, the preservation and reproduction of the capitulating leadership is the only lifeline for the realization of Azerbaijani-Turkish ambitions, while its removal is the starting point for the dignified future of Armenia and Artsakh.
