No Personal Insult or Brawl: Yeghishe Melikyan
Yerevan's FC Pyunik head coach Yeghishe Melikyan commented on the incident involving striker Anton Kobyalko:
“Disagreements happen in any club. This is very normal. In reality, there was no brawl that took place. In football, disagreements can arise between the coach and players. Yes, sometimes it is necessary to speak in a raised tone, but it did not escalate to personal insults. Various media outlets began writing that I was at the airport, but that is not the case. I was at the club's training base, where I told him that as a player, he no longer meets my requirements because I had higher expectations of him on the field. Tempers can often heat up, but this is football. I did not insult the player's mother. The only thing I told him was that he failed to prove himself at this club. But that doesn’t mean he is a bad player. Perhaps he can play better with another team. I would definitely shake Kobyalko's hand if I see him again. He has put in his efforts on the field and has not betrayed the team. I was not satisfied with his performances, and there is nothing wrong with that, but they turned this into some sort of film,” said Melikyan, as reported by Sport24.ru.
