India Calls on Azerbaijan to Withdraw Troops from Armenian Borders
India is closely monitoring the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
According to Armenpress, this was stated by a spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in response to media inquiries regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“Border violations through military movements can destabilize the situation and lead to the resumption of hostilities. We urge the violating party to immediately withdraw its armed forces and halt any further provocations,” the spokesperson stated according to the ministry's official website.
He emphasized that India has consistently supported the peaceful resolution of bilateral disputes through political and diplomatic means. “Peace and stability in the South Caucasus region are essential for the prospect of regional security,” the spokesperson noted.
