Russia Ready to Help Turkey in Fight Against Coronavirus, Says Deputy Prime Minister
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Golikova, has stated that Russia is prepared to assist Turkey in combating COVID-19, primarily through the production of the Sputnik V vaccine.
This was reported by the RIA Novosti agency. According to the deputy prime minister's press office, Golikova called for increased joint efforts in the fight against the coronavirus infection.
“Russia is ready to provide Turkey with all the necessary assistance,” the statement quoted Golikova as saying. First and foremost, as clarified by the press office, this refers to establishing industrial production of the Sputnik V vaccine in Turkey.
According to Golikova, the process of mass immunization of the population will lead to victory over the coronavirus.
