Mkhitaryan Sets Personal Record

The captain of the Armenian national team and midfielder of Italian club AS Roma, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, became the author of the first goal for his team during the Roman derby against Lazio (2-0) held on May 15. This was Mkhitaryan's 12th goal in the current season of the Italian league, marking his best performance in the top five leagues.

In the 2015/16 season, Mkhitaryan scored 11 goals while playing for Borussia Dortmund in the German league. In other seasons in the German, English, and Italian leagues, he did not surpass the 10-goal mark. His most prolific season to date was in the Ukrainian league with Shakhtar Donetsk when he scored 25 goals in the 2012/13 season.

In the current season, Mkhitaryan has also provided 10 assists, which is among the best statistics in the league. Notably, he missed approximately two months due to injury while playing for Roma.
