Immediate Withdrawal of Troops from Armenian Territory: France's Foreign Ministry Calls on Baku
France's Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, has called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to agree on the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from Armenian territory. This was reported by the French diplomatic authorities.
The French Foreign Ministry reached this position following telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“In connection with the recent tensions along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, Jean-Yves Le Drian reminded of France's deep concern and its commitment to preserving Armenia's territorial integrity,” stated the French Foreign Ministry.
France emphasizes that it is closely monitoring the developments in the situation and urges the parties to continue negotiations to achieve the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from Armenian territory.
