COVID-19 Situation in Armenia: New Data Released by the Ministry of Health
As of May 16, 131 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Armenia, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 220,860. According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, 9 citizens have died from the virus in one day, with the total death toll reaching 4,323.
Additionally, there have been 2 cases of patients infected with COVID-19 who died from other illnesses within the same day. As of May 16, the total number of these death cases is 1,060. In total, 11 individuals have died in one day, with the overall death count rising to 5,383.
The number of recoveries in one day stands at 354, bringing the total recoveries to 208,454, while the number of actively treated patients is 7,023 (which has decreased by 234 in one day).
A total of 3,160 tests have been conducted in one day, with an overall of 1,036,673 tests completed to date.
