My Step MPs Were Curious About What Is Happening at the Border
The ruling faction in the National Assembly of Armenia appears to be unaware of the developments occurring in the country. A journalist from the 'Zhoghovurd' daily observed yesterday that MPs were asking each other what was happening at the border.
Just as during the 44-day war, the representatives of the ruling party were unaware of how a victorious army suddenly faced defeat, and how Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan unexpectedly signed the tripartite agreement, now they anxiously await the possibility of another extraordinary event, hoping to learn about it from the media.
According to our sources, many lawmakers from the ruling party are struggling to establish communication with key government figures or to receive information from the Ministry of Defense regarding the events taking place in Syunik and Gegharkunik.
It can be said that the parliamentary ruling faction is relying on the media to provide information about the border situation. Even in private conversations yesterday, it was mentioned in the parliament that at least it is good that independent MPs have stepped up and demanded an extraordinary session of the National Assembly, otherwise, if it were left to the government, they would continue to remain in the dark.
Incidentally, for a significant period, the MPs of the My Step faction have been in a state of ignorance regarding the fate of many representatives of the dissolved parliament.
