Armenian Embassy in Russia Issues Statement
The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation has issued a statement regarding incidents of fraud related to the alleged provision of consular services.
"The embassy regularly receives information that certain individuals are attempting to mislead citizens by offering so-called 'intermediary services' related to the provision of consular services. We urge citizens not to trust individuals who are trying to act as 'intermediaries' in order to avoid becoming victims of fraud," the statement said on the embassy's Facebook page.
The embassy has also reported that information received from various citizens about such attempts is being forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, the diplomatic mission informed that consular services in the territory of the Russian Federation are provided exclusively by the consular service of the embassy in Moscow, the Armenian consulates in Saint Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don, the consular division in Novosibirsk, and the consular point in Sochi.
