Shushi Must Be Armenian, Hadrut Must Belong to Us: Mikael Melkumyan
We should not reconcile with the idea of defeat, but rather, we should be able to launch and signal our intention towards new victories. This was stated by MP Mikael Melkumyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party during a recent conversation with journalists in the "Victory" park.
"Personally, I do not intend to reconcile with defeat. First, we must distinguish the Great Patriotic War, which took place within the framework of the Soviet Union, in which our grandfathers and their fathers participated and triumphed. Glory and honor to all of them, glory and honor to all our fallen heroes from the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, and of course, we bow our heads before the participants and victims of the recent Nagorno-Karabakh War and the April War. Today's thought is to find a formula that will lead us to new victories. We should not reconcile with this; Shushi must be Armenian, Hadrut must belong to us. We all need to live with a new agenda, and what that agenda is will be shaped by the new government that will come after June 20. The legal path to resolving this issue must be June 20; we have already mentioned this, and until now, no illegal steps have been taken by the opposition. You will see that just a few days before the election, the atmosphere will change dramatically. I believe in this. I believe that our people will make the right decisions," the MP said.
