Parts of Downed Flight A 319 in Kazan Recovered, Valued at 900,000 AMD
Parts of the downed flight A 319 in Kazan have been recovered. The aircraft will soon be repaired and brought back to Yerevan. The components in question are two titanium pipes weighing 0.5 kg each, which are part of the hydraulic system, with a total value of 900,000 AMD.
These parts were transported from France by order of Airbus. They were brought to Armenia on a passenger flight as carry-on luggage to be sent to Kazan later. Someone managed to bring them by hand from France to Yerevan, but there was confusion about how to clear them through customs.
Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Shushan Nersisyan initially resisted but found a temporary solution to the issue after it was clarified that there was a pressing need for expediency.
