Terrible Incident in Shirak: Asphalt Leveling Machine Overturned, 23-Year-Old Driver Killed
Today, April 29, a tragic accident occurred in Shirak province. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The regional crisis management center received a call at 19:22 that an accident had taken place on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, near the village of Lanjik, and there was a citizen trapped.
“A firefighting and rescue team from the regional emergency rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene,” the statement noted.
Upon arrival, rescuers determined that an 'XGMA' asphalt leveling machine had overturned during road construction works approximately 3 meters high from a new road section, landing on the old road.
As a result of the accident, the 23-year-old driver, A. A., died on the spot. Rescuers retrieved the young man's body and brought it to the ambulance.
