Azerbaijanis Displaying Disgraceful Behavior at Their Checkpoints, Says Tigran Abrahamyan
The head of the "Henaket" analytical center, former advisor on security issues to the President of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan, made a Facebook post stating:
“As the topic of pilgrims going to Dadivank was discussed in the context of the Azerbaijani breach of agreements, I want to say right away that since November 9, Azerbaijanis have displayed various forms of disgraceful behavior at their checkpoints. Under the guise of checks, they do whatever they want. There is no clear procedure established, and in this situation, Azerbaijani soldiers behave as they please. They also decide whether to adhere to the agreements made or not.
The authorities of Artsakh are obliged to clarify matters with the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces and reach the necessary arrangements; otherwise, I do not believe there is any sense in demonstrating that there are no prohibitions for Armenians to visit Dadivank at the expense of the dignity and safety of our compatriots. Azerbaijanis cross our territory almost every day and go back and forth to Shushi without any obstacles, while we are still discussing the entry issues for pilgrims at Dadivank or, in general, the opening of communications with Azerbaijan.”
