Recent Decision by PACE Plenary: The Issue of Prisoners of War on the Agenda, Will Be Discussed - Melkumyan
MP Mikael Melkumyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party wrote on his Facebook page: “Dear compatriots,
Just now, the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe voted in favor of including the issue of Armenian prisoners of war on the agenda to be discussed tomorrow evening, as we previously indicated.
The question was voted on because the head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Samad Seyidov, raised an objection, stating that it would have destabilizing implications for the region.
132 delegates participated in the discussion, with 93 voting in favor, 21 against, and 18 abstaining. Thus, the issue will certainly be discussed tomorrow.
