Chobanyan Denies False Information on Armenia-Azerbaijan Market in Tavush
Dear friends, another piece of fabricated misinformation is circulating regarding the alleged establishment of an Armenia-Azerbaijan market in the Tavush region, claiming that I supposedly announced this.
This was stated by Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan on his Facebook page:
“Remember, we are in an information war, where any mistake (especially its dissemination) assists our enemies. I urge you to follow these simple rules to avoid spreading misinformation:
- Look for the original source: Information from unknown sources should be regarded as misinformation until you have made verifications.
- Look for images and videos: In our times, events always have recordings; if there isn’t one, the news is likely false.
- Use search in other, more trustworthy sources:
- Never rely on random sites; do not accept social media as the sole valid news source.
- Always wait 15 minutes before spreading something: As tempting as it is to be the first to break a 'sensation,' double-check the facts, follow the previous points, and still wait a few minutes.”
