Aliyev Announces Plans to Build Airports in Kashatagh and Kovsakan
Three airports are planned to be built in the areas of Nagorno-Karabakh that have come under Azerbaijani control. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a press conference, as reported by minval.az.
“Construction work on the airport in Fizuli (Varanda) has already begun. We have promptly started addressing issues related to demining, as it is a priority concern. Airports are planned to be constructed in Lachin (Kashatagh) and Zangezur (Kovsakan). Zangezur will become an important logistics center as part of the implementation of the declarations of November 10, 2020,” the Azerbaijani president stated.
