Price Increases in Armenia: Significant Inflation Recorded for Various Food Products and Goods
Compared to January 2020, there has been a significant increase in prices for various food items and goods in Armenia as of January 2021. According to official data from the National Statistical Service:
- Vegetable oil has increased by 44.3%
- Sugar has risen by 40.7%
- Eggs have become 26.4% more expensive
- Dairy products saw a price increase of 7.7%
- Fruits have increased by 12%
- Vegetables have risen by 9.9%
- Garlic has surged by 95.4%
- Mixed greens are up by 53.5%
- Bread has increased by 7.9%
- Flour is up 12.5%
- Beverages and tobacco have risen by 6.8%
- Non-food items have increased by 5.5%
