Who Are The Candidates Circulating for the Position of NSS Director?

The position of the NSS director in Artsakh has been vacant for about a month and a half. After the dismissal of Kamo Aghajanyan, Arayik Harutyunyan has been struggling to find a suitable candidate who is acceptable to the public and especially to the opposition circles, as well as to the Secretary of the Security Council, Vitaly Balasanyan.

Currently, several names are being discussed for the position, with the most likely candidates being former police chief Ashot Hakobyan and the former commander of the Defense Army, Jalal Harutyunyan. Interestingly, recently Jalal's brother, Artem Harutyunyan, was appointed as the police chief of Artsakh.
