Russian Emergency Situations Ministry Sappers Neutralize Nearly 15,500 Explosive Objects in Nagorno-Karabakh

Sappers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations have neutralized nearly 15,500 explosive objects while working in Nagorno-Karabakh, having surveyed more than 120 hectares of land. This information was reported to RIA Novosti by the ministry's press service.

According to the source, "Specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations continue their demining operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. They have surveyed more than 123 hectares of land and discovered about 15,500 explosive items." The source clarified that the pyrotechnic group from the “Lider” center is currently working in the Martuni region. The sappers have surveyed an area of more than 110 hectares here, finding and neutralizing nearly 15,000 munitions.

The discovered explosives include over 6,800 artillery shells, 3,400 rounds of various calibers, approximately 730 grenades, and more than 1,100 grenades.
