How Much Each Armenian Leader Has Increased National Debt: Economist Suren Parsyan
The head of the Economic Research Office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), economist Suren Parsyan, has analyzed how much each of Armenia’s leaders has contributed to the increase in national debt.
Under Robert Kocharyan, the national debt increased by approximately $700 million, under Serge Sargsyan by about $5 billion, and under Nikol Pashinyan by still $1.2 billion. There are no official and reliable data available regarding the national debt during Levon Ter-Petrosyan's era.
It is still unclear the magnitude of the weapon loan formulated during the last Artsakh war, as well as the amount to be paid for the guarantee provided by the Armenian government to banks, totaling around $1 billion.
