Earthquake Occurs 10 km West of Jermuk
On January 18, at 18:12 local time (14:12 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 1.9, located 10 km west of the city of Jermuk in the Vayots Dzor province at geographic coordinates of 39.80° N latitude and 45.55° E longitude, at a depth of 10 km.
According to the information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the intensity of the tremors in the epicenter zone reached 2-3 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Herher and Karmrashen in the Vayots Dzor province with an intensity of 2-3 points.
