Russia Welcomes Establishment of Direct Dialogue Between Armenian and Azerbaijani Intellectuals: Zakharova
Russia welcomes humanitarian initiatives by Armenian and Azerbaijani public figures in every possible way. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing.
“We will fully support the establishment of direct dialogue between Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectuals, as well as the holding of joint humanitarian events by the two countries. In our opinion, such initiatives contribute to the formation of an atmosphere of solidarity, trust, and mutual understanding; they are beneficial for both the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples, and, overall, for the entire South Caucasus, thus also benefiting Russia,” she stated. “The Russian side will unconditionally support such humanitarian actions if Yerevan and Baku show a real willingness to move in this direction,” she added.
