Current Situation on Armenia's Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and difficult to navigate roads across the territory of Armenia. The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn province are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers, while other types of vehicles can pass.
There are spots of black ice on the roads of Kotayk and Syunik provinces. According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Civil Defense in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
Information from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that the ban on foreign nationals entering Georgia remains in effect. However, the restriction does not apply to freight transport. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
