Rosselkhoznadzor to Allow Tomato Imports from 15 More Azerbaijani Enterprises

Rosselkhoznadzor will permit the import of tomatoes from 15 additional Azerbaijani enterprises into Russia starting January 1. This was reported by the TASS agency, citing the agency's announcement.

According to the information presented and with the guarantee of the relevant authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rosselkhoznadzor considers it possible to allow tomato imports from 15 Azerbaijani enterprises located in areas where cases of South American tomato moth detection were not registered in 2020, the announcement stated.

Earlier, the agency had announced plans to allow tomato imports from another 17 enterprises. Rosselkhoznadzor had imposed a ban on the import of tomatoes and apples from Azerbaijani enterprises on December 10 due to the detection of quarantine objects for EAEU countries.
