Increased Birth and Childcare Benefits in Artsakh Starting January 1, 2021
Starting January 1, 2021, birth and childcare benefits for children under two years old in Artsakh will be increased. This was announced by Mane Tandilyan, the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, and Housing of Artsakh, on her Facebook page.
“The one-time benefit for the birth of the first child is set at 300,000 drams, replacing the former 100,000 drams; the one-time benefit for the birth of the second child is set at 300,000 drams, replacing the previous 200,000 drams. If one of the parents or the single parent has a disability group at the time of the child's birth, the one-time benefit for birth will be set at 500,000 drams. The monthly childcare benefit for children under two will now be 27,000 drams, compared to 15,000 drams before. Step by step, we continue to create the necessary conditions for living and thriving. 2021 should mark the beginning of a new vision for Artsakh, where the children of Artsakh will have a significant contribution,” Tandilyan stated in her post.
