Georgia's Parliament Votes in Favor of EU and NATO Integration
Georgia's Parliament has unanimously supported a draft resolution regarding the country's aspirations to integrate into the European Union and NATO.
“Membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a non-alternative priority of Georgia’s foreign policy. Transatlantic unity is a crucial condition for strengthening global security,” the text of the resolution states, which received support from 81 lawmakers.
The resolution also emphasizes that Georgia's foreign policy priority is full membership in the European Union. Additionally, it states that the country advocates for the exclusively peaceful resolution of conflicts.
It is worth noting that the program of the new Georgian government is entitled “For the Construction of a European State.”
