68 More Lawyers Join Demand for Arrest of Prime Minister Pashinyan
Today, the faculty members of the Law Department at Yerevan State University (YSU) demanded specific actions from Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan, a graduate of the same department. Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan announced this on his Facebook page.
“I want to inform you that 68 of my esteemed colleagues, lawyers, have already joined the mentioned request-declaration within a short period (the process is ongoing), including lawyers with significant experience in the law enforcement system,” Vardevanyan wrote, adding that the statement addressed to the Chief Prosecutor has been made public by doctoral professors from YSU’s Law Department, who authored works such as the monograph on 'Criminal Law', which is used by all investigators and prosecutors, including the Chief Prosecutor.
It is worth reminding that earlier, 20 lawyer-scholars had addressed the Chief Prosecutor with a public demand for the arrest of Nikol Pashinyan.
