VIDEO: Deputy Police Chief States Prime Minister's Order is Not Law
We carry out our functions as stipulated by law. This was stated by the Deputy Police Chief of Armenia, Ara Fidanyan, during a conversation with reporters after a government meeting on December 24. He responded to a question about whether they would follow the order if the Prime Minister said he wanted to see 'rivers of blood'. 'The Prime Minister's order is not law,' he noted.
It is important to remember that former NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan had previously claimed that during the events in Ijevan last year, Nikol Pashinyan told him and then-Police Chief Valery Osikyan that he wanted to see 'rivers of blood' in Ijevan.
